NYCID After-School Program at PS 44

The New York Center for Interpersonal Development (NYCID) runs the after -school program at PS 44. This program provides students with safe, supportive, and engaging environment once the school day ends. 

Program highlights include: 

. Homework Help & Academic Support- Assistance with daily assignments to reinforce classroom learning.

.Enrichment Activities- Arts, music, sports, STEM, and cultural activities to spark creativity and growth.

.Social-Emotional Learning- Activities that help students build teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

.Recreation & Physical Activity-Opportunities for play, exercise, and strutured games.

.Snacks & Supper-Nutritious snacks are provided to keep students energized.

The program is led by Mr. Aaron Yates, NYCID's Site Director at PS 44, and a team of dedicated staff members who work closely with school leadership to support our students.

The UAU -COMPASS After-School Program is proudly funded by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) at no-cost at some school.

The COMPASS Elementary model is a robust design full of opportunities for children in grade K-5 to explore their interests and creativity. The COMPASS program supports social and emotional learning, provides age-appropriate programming that is hands- on, project- based and aligned with educational standards. The COMPASS program offers homework help, academic enrichment activities in STEM and Literacy, quality arts instruction and physical activity, including nutritional programming to promote healthy living.
