Remind App

remind app

The Remind app is a great tool for staying connected with their child's teacher and staying up to date with school events. Through this app, parents can receive important announcements, updates and reminders directly from me, the Parent Coordinator, as well as communicate with their child's teacher.

This platform is also very useful for:

  • Notifying the teacher of change in dismissal plans for example ( the child is walking home instead of being picked up)
  • Informing the school if a student is absent due to illness
  • Asking questions or expressing any concerns directly to the teacher or the Parent Coordinator .
  • It's a quick, convenient, and efficient way to stay engaged and informed.

  • School Uniform Policy

P.S. 44 is a uniformed school for several reasons. Our uniform policy is intended to help our school promote a more effective learning environment, foster school unity and pride, foster self-esteem, cut down on peer pressure to keep up with the latest fashion trends, simplify wardrobe and minimize costs to parents. In addition, it teaches children appropriate dress and decorum in their "work" place, and help to improve conduct and discipline.

All Students are Required to wear uniform Monday-Thursday. Fridays are "Dress Down/Themed Days."

  • Our uniform colors are Burgundy and Khaki. We are a uniformed school. P.S. 44 has partnered with Kid's Place as our Uniform Headquarters. They are located at 1541 Forest Ave SI NY in the TJ Max shopping mall.
